Crowdfunding de donaciones para una asociaci?n juvenil en el Per?

El crowdfunding es una forma de recaudar dinero de un gran n?mero de personas. Existen un tipo de crowdfunding el cual tiene un enfoque m?s social, debido a que no recibe ninguna contraprestaci?n econ?mica para los colaboradores que financian un proyecto, sino que reciben una satisfacci?n personal por el apoyo econ?mico que se brinda, esto se llama crowdfunding de donaciones. En el Per?, existen algunas asociaciones juveniles que participan en plataformas de crowdfunding de donaciones, esto con el fin que de sus campa?as tengan mayor alcance y puedan cumplir con la meta trazada. El apoyo que existe hacia las campa?as publicadas en la plataforma es muy escaso, lo cual no permite que se tenga una fuente de financiamiento alternativo, m?s tecnol?gico, financiero y transparente para campa?as sociales. Es por ello que para un crecimiento sostenible de las plataformas de crowdfunding en el Per? es necesario tener en cuenta cuatro factores cr?ticos de ?xito: un mayor apoyo y publicidad de campa?as y plataformas, una regulaci?n que brinde beneficios tanto a las plataformas como a las personas naturales que donan, una mayor y mejor capacitaci?n para los actores involucrados y mayor creatividad en las plataformas de crowdfunding

A surgical system for automatic registration, stiffness mapping and dynamic image overlay

In this paper we develop a surgical system using the da Vinci research kit (dVRK) that is capable of autonomously searching for tumors and dynamically displaying the tumor location using augmented reality. Such a system has the potential to quickly reveal the location and shape of tumors and visually overlay that information to reduce the cognitive overload of the surgeon. We believe that our approach is one of the first to incorporate state-of-the-art methods in registration, force sensing and tumor localization into a unified surgical system. First, the preoperative model is registered to the intra-operative scene using a Bingham distribution-based filtering approach. An active level set estimation is then used to find the location and the shape of the tumors. We use a recently developed miniature force sensor to perform the palpation. The estimated stiffness map is then dynamically overlaid onto the registered preoperative model of the organ. We demonstrate the efficacy of our system by performing experiments on phantom prostate models with embedded stiff inclusions.Comment: International Symposium on Medical Robotics (ISMR 2018

Global overview of the management of acute cholecystitis during the COVID-19 pandemic (CHOLECOVID study)

Background: This study provides a global overview of the management of patients with acute cholecystitis during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: CHOLECOVID is an international, multicentre, observational comparative study of patients admitted to hospital with acute cholecystitis during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data on management were collected for a 2-month study interval coincident with the WHO declaration of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and compared with an equivalent pre-pandemic time interval. Mediation analysis examined the influence of SARS-COV-2 infection on 30-day mortality. Results: This study collected data on 9783 patients with acute cholecystitis admitted to 247 hospitals across the world. The pandemic was associated with reduced availability of surgical workforce and operating facilities globally, a significant shift to worse severity of disease, and increased use of conservative management. There was a reduction (both absolute and proportionate) in the number of patients undergoing cholecystectomy from 3095 patients (56.2 per cent) pre-pandemic to 1998 patients (46.2 per cent) during the pandemic but there was no difference in 30-day all-cause mortality after cholecystectomy comparing the pre-pandemic interval with the pandemic (13 patients (0.4 per cent) pre-pandemic to 13 patients (0.6 per cent) pandemic; P = 0.355). In mediation analysis, an admission with acute cholecystitis during the pandemic was associated with a non-significant increased risk of death (OR 1.29, 95 per cent c.i. 0.93 to 1.79, P = 0.121). Conclusion: CHOLECOVID provides a unique overview of the treatment of patients with cholecystitis across the globe during the first months of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The study highlights the need for system resilience in retention of elective surgical activity. Cholecystectomy was associated with a low risk of mortality and deferral of treatment results in an increase in avoidable morbidity that represents the non-COVID cost of this pandemic

Se tiene la convicción de la viabilidad de este proyecto, basados en los resultados de la investigación de mercado, focus group, entrevistas a expertos y resultados del concierge.Many citizens of Lima have adversities with the home basic services. Which are people that lives up to a daily income; as much work they can make, they can achieve a better life quality. For that reason, this project intends to connect these two segments, through a web platform, where they can find the qualified technician it is needed. The providers of this service will choose between two option of subscription; meanwhile, the clients will pay a flat rate for the inspection of their problem.
